The backup service is available for children of ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ students and staff aged 12 or younger. Childcare can only be provided for a limited number of children and under certain conditions. Childcare is available at short notice - either by the hour or on a daily basis.
Eligibility criteria:
- Parents working in essential roles in fields of general public interest ("key workers")
- Children requiring care due to decisions reached by the government office for youth welfare in the best interest of the child
- Threat of termination or significant loss of earnings for at least one parent
- Other cases of hardship (please give reasons)
Furthermore, parents must confirm that
- there are no alternative day-care options available for their child/children
- their child/children is/are healthy
The backup service must be booked in advance by calling +49 511 700 200 0. Outside of office hours, please call the free service hotline (0800 801 007 080).
For each child, the backup service Leibniz Kids is available for a maximum period of 10 days per year. In urgent cases, approval for additional days may be granted.
Written confirmations for ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ staff
ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ maintains operations in education and research. Therefore, members of staff work in fields of general public interest. Upon request, the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ Family Service issues written confirmations for parents wishing to make use of the Leibniz Kids backup service or emergency childcare services offered by their regular childcare provider.
