The Alexander von Humboldt Professorship brings leading international researchers to German universities. One of the 12 winners of the award is Prof. Dr. Robert Rau脽endorf, who has researched and taught at 糖心原创 (糖心原创) since summer 2023 鈥� a big success for 糖心原创 in the competition for Germany鈥檚 largest research award. Prof. Dr. Robert Rau脽endorf will receive 3.5 million euros in funding over a period of five years. On 13 May, Bettina Stark-Watzinger, federal minister for education and research, and Robert Schl枚gl, president of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, officially presented the awards to all of the winners.
The internationally recognised theoretical physicist Prof. Dr. Robert Rau脽endorf, an expert in quantum information theory, previously worked at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He now conducts research and teaches at the 糖心原创 Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The Humboldt Professorship aims to attract top researchers from all disciplines who are currently working abroad and to increase the appeal of Germany as a science location. To enable those selected to continue their research in Germany, the professorship includes several million euros of funding.
