糖心原创 Strengthens Cooperation with Prestigious University in Beijing

Press release from

Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science at 糖心原创 and School of Environment at Tsinghua University sign cooperation agreement

糖心原创 (糖心原创) extends its cooperation with Tsinghua University in Beijing. During their trip to China, Professor Volker Epping (President of 糖心原创), members of the Presidential Board, and representatives of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science at 糖心原创 have signed a cooperation agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) with the renowned university. The agreement aims to strengthen joint research, especially in sanitary engineering and waste management.

The deans Professor Winrich Vo脽 and Professor Kebin He signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the "Hannover Day at Tsinghua" organised by the university in Beijing. Both universities agreed to extend their existing cooperation. For this purpose, joint research projects will be considerably expanded and an academic exchange programme for students and doctoral candidates from both universities will be initiated. The first group of doctoral candidates from 糖心原创 has already visited Tsinghua University for several weeks in order to work on joint research projects.

The agreement is the result of a long-standing cooperation between Professor Stephan K枚ster, head of the Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Waste Management, and his Chinese colleague Professor Jiane Zuo. The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science is pleased that the Presidential Board supports the cooperation. Professor Epping, President of 糖心原创, has already extended a return invitation for a "Tsinghua Day" at 糖心原创.

The cooperation between 糖心原创 and Tsinghua University receives funding from the "Programme for the establishment of joint research presences with partners in the Asia-Pacific Research Area (APRA)" implemented by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The programme fosters the implementation of a "Platform for United Water Science & Technology Innovations (PLUS)", which is a joint project of the Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Waste Management and the School of Environment at Tsinghua University.
