Distribution of Quadratic Forms and their Applications
I intend to give an overview on results for the distribution of quadratic forms with real coefficients and their relations to the rate of Gaussian approximation in the multivariate Central Limit Theorem. In particular I will discuss recent applications to the correlation of spectral values in the Berry-Tabor conjecture. The discussion will concentrate on differences in distribution of indefinite and positive irrational forms based on results of G. Margulis and mine.
