Internationalisation at ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ – global presence, European connections, regional roots

Vision

An international campus is a global campus. Through the combination of local, European and global perspectives and approaches we are able to achieve excellence in research, teaching and administration.

Mission

Values-based, open-minded and responsible international engagement. We are increasing visibility and appeal; promoting diversity, inclusion, sustainability and digitalisation; and creating a welcoming community that supports guidance, networks and success.

Measures

  • Objective 1: Enhance visibility and appeal
    • Develop and implement international recruiting and marketing strategy.
    • Increase the comprehensibility, transparency and efficiency of administrative processes.
    • Establish an international alumni network and use it in a targeted way to boost visibility.
    • Expand ÌÇÐÄÔ´´â€™s digital presence (social media communication in German and English, interactive web content).
    • Strategically strengthen international networks and partnerships (including the European Alliance).
  • Objective 2: Expand internationalisation in teaching, learning, research and administration
    • Increase the number of degree programmes/tracks and joint/double degrees taught in English.
    • Enhance internationalisation@home (hybrid formats, joint digital teaching settings, blended intensive programmes).
    • Integrate and further develop digital infrastructures (cross-platform collaboration).
    • Systematically support cutting-edge international research (international projects, publications, Cotutelle agreements).
    • Anchor sustainability and diversity as quality criteria for international collaborations.
  • Objective 3: Increase mobility in all groups
    • Expand exchange programmes and focused partnerships in a targeted manner.
    • Simplify and digitalise recognition and evaluation processes.
    • Strengthen supplementary digital mobility (without replacing in-person exchanges).
    • Consistently collect and enable analysis of electronic mobility data.
    • Support sustainable mobility (e.g. green mobility, longer stays).
  • Objective 4: Improve the integration and success of internationals
    • Establish information and guidance measures before and during the stay at ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ (target-group specific, personalised).
    • Establish a bilingual campus (German/English): documents, websites, processes, orientation.
    • Provide coordinated onboarding and services both centrally and non-centrally.
    • Support entry into the German labour market (career orientation, transitional programmes).
    • Continue work with alumni as part of the welcoming community.
